Privacy Policy

Blag writes excuses and explains messages. To do that, the text you type has to leave your phone. This page says exactly where it goes and what happens to it.
There is no account
Blag never asks for your name, email or phone number, and there is nothing to sign in to. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID by the App Store, and we never see who you are. Free usage is counted against an anonymous device identifier provided by Apple's App Attest, which cannot be linked back to you or to any other app.
What we send, and where
- When you generate an excuse, we send the situation you picked and the slider value.
- When you translate a message, we send the text you pasted and the relationship you picked.
These go to our server on Cloudflare, which forwards them to Google's Gemini API to produce the reply. Google processes them under its own terms. Nothing else is attached — not your name, not your contacts, not your location.
What stays on your phone
Your results are held only in the app on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
What we never do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We never sell or share anything, because we do not keep anything to sell.
- We do not use what you type to train any model.
Children
Blag is not directed at children and is rated for adults.
Your rights
Because there is no account and no stored content, there is nothing for us to look up, export or delete on request. If you want the anonymous usage counter cleared, delete the app — it expires on its own within two days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
